The Whirlpool Compass Fountain will be ready for splashing and water fun in 2010!  It is located below the Bluff along your walk to Silver Beach.

The fountain, which sprays water 35 feet in the air, was unveiled to the public on Saturday, September 5th. By Sunday afternoon hundreds of people played in the water and stood around it.

1.   Concrete inner splash pad is 150 ft. in diameter
2.   Outer ring of the pad is 200 ft. in diameter

Whirlpool Compass Fountain
When open, this fun, interactive fountain will spray water 35 feet into the air (on the hour and half hour).  The fountain will resume its hours in the warmer months.

The Silver Beach Carousel is now open and accepting riders!  Young-of-heart will experience the magic or riding 48 unique, hand-carved menagerie figures, including six replicas of the original Silver Beach Carousel horses.  Circling above will be 18 rounding boards that will share the area's rich history with photographs from the past. Michigan's tallest kaleidoscope entertains visitors as they walk under and look up to see constantly changing patterns of colors and camera images of the fountain and carousel.
