February 12th -14th  6th Annual Magical Ice Carving Festival - Be sure to mark your calendars for the 6th annual Magical Ice Carving Festival, Friday February 12th through Sunday February 14th in beautiful Downtown St. Joseph. Come to watch the sculptures being carved while enjoying shopping, dining, wine tasting, kids activities and, of course, magic shows! This event is sanctioned by NICA (National Ice Carving Association) who will oversee and judge professional competitions for originality, artistic quality, technique, detail and design.

April 3rd  Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Bonnet Parade  Over 8,000 eggs hidden in Lake Bluff Park for children ages 2-10 yrs. at 11:30 am. Then be sure to join us in a family Easter Bonnet Parade down Lake Boulevard.

April 19th  Earthday Celebration - Calling all volunteers to spring clean Tiscornia Beach for a couple hours on Monday after work...approximately 4-6pm. Tools, gloves and water provided. Call 269.985.1111 for more details.

May 2nd - October 3rd  Antiques on the Bluff    First Sunday of each month May through October, 10am-3pm, Lake Bluff Park. Dealers and private parties sell antiques and collectibles, rain or shine. Presented by St. Joseph Today. 

May 28th  Memorial Day Parade  Sponsored by Frank and Shar Walsh. A Parade to honor and commemorate those who have served this great country of ours.  Parade takes place on Lake Boulevard, Friday at noon.

June 5th - October 9th  Farmers' Market - Presented by St. Joseph Today. Every Saturday during the dates shown except July 17th (Venetian Festival Weekend). The market is located on Lake Boulevard between Broad and Pleasant Streets.  Hours are from 9am-2pm. *** New for 2010***  Wednesday Farmers' Market, June 30th - September 1st ! 8am-1pm, same location in Lake Bluff Park.

June 5th  Rhumbline Regatta - get ready for summer with the first official regatta of the season - racing outside the box! Visit the SJRYC website for more info, www.sjryc.com or call 269.983.6393. .

June 5th Regatta Craft Fair - 10am - 5pm. The Regatta Craft Fair on Labor Day weekend has been so popular we added another one! This fair will coincide with the SJRYC Rhumbline Regatta and opening weekend of the Farmers' Market. 269-985-1111 or www.sjtoday.org for more info.

EVERY THURSDAY, June 17th - September 2nd, State St. Experience.  Enjoy live acoustic music as you stroll the brick-lined streets of downtown! Participating merchants will have extended hours for your shopping convenience.

June 18th – September 3rd  Friday Nite Concerts - Concerts each Friday evening from June 18th - Sept. 3rd. Concerts start at 7:30pm and finishes by 9pm (no concert July 16th due to Venetian Festival).

June 16th – September 1st  Brownbag Concert Series  Wednesday concerts from Noon - 1pm. Join us at the Howard Band Shell for a lunchtime break in downtown.

July 3rd  Fourth of July Youth Parade  10am - Noon.  A parade for the kids through downtown St. Joseph, free horse drawn trolley rides and a special kids concert immediately following.

July 4th  Fireworks – At dusk presented by Midwest Family Broadcasting.

July 10th - 11th  Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff - Presented by the Krasl Art Center.  St. Joseph is host of one of the premier art shows in the country. For information, call 269-983-0271 or www.krasl.org

July 31st  Latin Taste & Rhythms Festival - Presented by the Whirlpool Hispanic Network.  Watch the sunset behind St. Joseph's lighthouse as you enjoy sounds from Latin bands and indulge your palate with great food!

August 5th –8th  Downtown Sidewalk Sales- A festive weekend of the best sales in town!
August 6th-7th  Chalk the Block - The streets of downtown St. Joseph are transformed into beautiful works of art. Friday 5pm -10pm, Saturday 10am-10pm.

August 16th –21st  Berrien County Youth Fair –  For over 50 years families have made a tradition out of attending the Fair. With its rich history, thousands continue to flock to one of the largest county fairs in the Midwest. August 27th-29th  Epicurean Classic - A three day celebration of fine wines, artisanal foods and cooking. Live demos, tastings, classes and seminars. An international event that has landed in St. Joseph, courtesy of KichenAid,with the Boulevard Inn as headquarters. www.epicureanclassic.com 

September 3rd-5th Tri-State Regatta -  Sponsored by the St. Joseph River Yacht Club.  St. Joseph is the first stop with boats starting to arrive late Friday night. Check out www.sjryc.com for more information.

September 18th  Blues, Brews & BBQ - Howard Band Shell. Bid a fond farewell to summer with soothing Blues, local Brew and spicy BBQ! The infamous Cornhole tournament returns to Port st. near the Bandshell. Music lineup and beanbag details to follow....

October 9th Harvest Festival A festival of the harvest featuring our final Farmers Market, Flagstar's Furry Friends Petting Zoo, pony rides, cider mill demo, 4th annual chili cook-off and live musict!

October 30th  The Great Halloween Spectacle!

Pumpkin Carving Contest – 12 Noon. Pumpkin carving contest in downtown St. Joseph. Dog Dress up - 12:30PM. Show off Fido in his best and win prizes. Halloween Parade  2:30pm - 2:45pm. A Halloween parade through the streets of downtown. Trick or Treating  3pm - 4pm.  Trick-or-treating at area businesses.

November 19th  Luminary Festival    A Friday night holiday open house! Enjoy over 800 luminaries lighting the downtown. Take a free horse-drawn trolley ride, listen to holiday music and enjoy refreshments from area businesses. Hours for the festival are dusk until 9pm. Sponsored by AEP Indiana Michigan Power

December 4th  Reindog Holiday Parade - Sponsored by Chemical Bank.  At 12 noon costumed pets and their owners will escort Santa into the downtown to kick off the holiday season. Bands, carolers and crazy floats are all part of this extraordinary parade.

December 4th – 24th Santa Claus  Sponsored by The Herald Palladium. Come Visit Santa Claus in his house at Pleasant and Broad Street. A horse drawn trolley will be going through downtown.  Hours are Thursday & Friday 4pm – 8pm; Saturday noon – 5pm.

Free Horse Drawn Trolley Hours

The clip-clop of hooves hitting the brick road mingles with the jangling of harnesses as a large Percheron pulls the trolley along the streets of historic downtown St. Joseph, Michigan. Trolley pickup and dropoff is tentatively scheduled for State St. in front of the St. Joe Today office - 421 State St.

Antiques on the Bluff will be held along tree lined Lake Bluff Park, overlooking Lake Michigan. This antique show is a premier event for St. Joseph and antiquers around Southwest Michigan! Antiques on the Bluff will take place on the first Sunday of the month starting on May 2nd and continuing to October 3rd. The hours are from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. This event offers free parking, and no admission.

Going to the downtown Farmers' Market used to be limited to the treat of selecting your own ripe, succulent fruits and vegetables. Things have changed! Saturday morning at the Market now includes jams, honey, hearth-baked breads and fine pastries, perennials, cut flowers, organic vegetables and so much more!

Take the time to chat with vendors who will share recipes, planting recommendations and cooking tips. Also, plan to visit with several friends since the number of people attending this weekly event has continued to grow over the last few years. It's a Saturday tradition! The Farmers' Market takes place every Saturday, 9am to 2pm, June 5th through October 9th (except Venetian Festival Weekend - July 17th). The Market is located in Lake Bluff Park on Lake Blvd. between Broad and Pleasant Sts.

The 2010 season of the St. Joseph Municipal Band begins with its normal double concerts, at 3:30 and 7:30 p.m., Sunday, June 27. The band looks forward to providing hour long concerts each Sunday from June 27, through September 5th, and also including 3:30 and 7:30 concerts on July 4 (Independence Day) and its final concerts of the season, September 6(Labor Day).

Begin your 4th of July holiday festivities with a parade of decorated bikes through downtown St. Joseph.

The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. at the corner of Elm St. and State St. and will proceed down State St. to Ship and Port St.  Free horse drawn trolley rides also available sponsored by the Upton Foundation.

Fireworks at dusk on Sunday the 4th of July, sponsored by Midwest Family Broadcasting.

The Venetian Festival is an annual event that takes place every July in downtown St. Joseph and Silver Beach on the coast of Lake Michigan.  The festival includes food vendors from local restaurants and an array of music on two stages.  A carnival and kids activities are also available.
