Fourth of July Youth Parade & Fireworks
Saturday the 4th of July, 10:00 a.m.
Downtown St. Joseph

Begin your 4th of July holiday festivities with a parade of decorated bikes and colorful homemade floats and shoebox floats through downtown St. Joseph.

The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. at the corner of Elm St. and State St. and will proceed down State St. to Ship and Port St.  A concert by the Deep Fried Pickle Project will directly follow the parade at the John E. N. Howard Bandshell followed by the Road To Life Church's Voice of Choice choir.

Free horse drawn trolley rides also available sponsored by the Upton Foundation.

Fireworks at dusk sponsored by Midwest Family Broadcasting.

Flagstar Friday Night Concerts
Fridays, June 5th - September 4th, 7:30 pm
John E. N. Howard Band Shell, Port St., Downtown

Friday evening concerts all summer long start at 7:30 p.m. and are usually finished by 9:00 p.m. No concert on July 17th due to the Venetian Festival. This long running series returns to the intimate confines of the John E.N. Howard Band Shell overlooking the St. Joe River with views of Lake Michigan and the lighthouse. Bring your lunch and take a break from the daily grind! Presented by AEP / Cook Nuclear Plant.

Downtown Farmers' Market
June 6th through October 10th
Saturdays, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Lake Bluff Park at Broad St.

Going to the downtown Farmers' Market used to be limited to the treat of selecting your own ripe, succulent fruits and vegetables. Things have changed! Saturday morning at the Market now includes jams, honey, hearth-baked breads and fine pastries, plants, cut flowers, organic vegetables and so much more!

Take the time to chat with vendors who will share recipes, planting recommendations and more. Also, plan to visit with several friends since the number of people attending this weekly event has continued to grow over the last few years. It's a Saturday tradition! The Farmers' Market takes place every Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 6th through October 10th (except Venetian Festival Weekend - July 18th). The Market is located in Lake Bluff Park at the intersection of Broad and Lake Blvd.

Antiques on the Bluff

Antiques on the Bluff will be held along tree lined Lake Bluff Park, overlooking Lake Michigan. This antique show is a premier event for St. Joseph and antiquers around Southwest Michigan! Antiques on the Bluff will take place on the first Sunday of the month starting on May 3rd and continuing to October 4th. The hours are from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. This event offers free parking, and no admission.

John E.N. Howard Bandshell, Port St., Downtown St. Joseph
Concerts at 3:30 pm & 7:30 pm
The 2009 season of the St. Joseph Municipal Band begins with its normal double concerts, at 3:30 and 7:30 p.m., Sunday, June 28. The band looks forward to providing hour long concerts each Sunday from June 28, through August 30, and also including 3:30 and 7:30 concerts on July 4 (Independence Day) and its final concerts of the season, September 7 (Labor Day).

Krasl Art Fair
July 11th and 12th

The 48th Annual Krasl Art Fair, presented by Krasl Art Center is the host of one of the premier art shows in the country. Music and entertainment will be provided all day long while you browse more than 200 artist vendors. For more information call 269-983-0271 or www.krasl.org.

Venetian Festival
July 16th - 19th
Silver Beach, St. Joseph, MI

The Venetian Festival is an annual event that takes place every July in downtown St. Joseph and Silver Beach on the coast of Lake Michigan.  The festival includes food vendors from local restaurants and an array of music on two stages.  A carnival and kids activities are also available.

View this classic auto in all its glory! Owners from around the country will rally in St. Joseph and Benton Harbor.

The Desotos will be around Downtown St. Joseph all week, but don't miss the display and vendor fair in Lake Bluff Park on Saturday, July 25th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The awards banquet will take place at the DANK in Benton Harbor at 7 p.m.  For more information please visit www.desoto.org.

Latin Taste & Rhythms Festival | Print |

Watch the sunset behind St. Joseph's lighthouse (rain or shine!) as you enjoy sounds from Latin bands and indulge your palate with great food on Silver Beach and the Shadowland Pavilion during the 7th Annual Latin Taste & Rhythms Festival.

A festival of creativity comes to downtown...two days of street painting with chalk, music, and free events for the kids. Artists from all over will transform our streets into a "masterpiece." Downtown shops will have their annual "Sidewalk Sales" from Thursday through Sunday.

The NasChair Challenge event will take place along Lake Boulevard (location subject to change). Watch as business professionals race their office chairs down the streets of St. Joseph. All proceeds benefit Harbor Habitat for Humanity.

St. Joseph River Yacht Club


Every Labor Day weekend The St. Joseph River Yacht Club plays host to this annual event that includes well over 140 boats racing for bragging rights amongst numerous awards. The Yacht Club hosts the annual Party at their facility which is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! This party includes music from P.S. Dump Your Boyfriend, as well as dinner and drinks.

The infamous X-treme Bean Bag Tournament (Cornhole!) also returns to the streets of St. Joe! Band lineup and details to follow.
